History of HOD

Dr. L. M. Saini is working as Professor in Electrical Engg. Deptt., NIT, Kurukshetra.  He is performing administrative duties of Prof.-in-Charge (Academic and Senate Affairs) and is founder coordinator of School of Biomedical Engg. in NIT, Kurukshetra.  His subject areas of interest are Analog, Digital, Power electronics, Embedded systems and application areas of interest are Power system and Power Electronics.  He has published quality research papers in IEEE, IEE (now IET), Elsevier, Taylor and Francis, Emerald and IJCAS.  He has received along with Dr. A. Kumar and Dr. S. K. Aggarwal, 2009 highly commendable award from Emerald, UK for their research paper which has been adjudged best among all the research papers published throughout the year 2008 in the journal.  Dr. Saini has got a patent on Detection and prevention of theft of electricity on Power Distribution systems and its automation in the form of smart meters.
