English Literary and Debating Club

This club came into existence in the late 90s along with the other official clubs of NIT Kurukshetra, is one of the official clubs in charge of handling and coordinating cultural activities at the Institution wherein the club is responsible for organising all the English Literary and debating activities, as the name suggests, and also all the quizzing activities. The Club works with a mission to mould the students into well-rounded, well-informed individuals with sharp personalities and good communication skills. It accomplishes this objective by organising a variety of workshops and activities round the year, including communication skills workshops, and events during the Talent Show for first year and Confluence, the annual Cultural Festival. During Confluence, the Club organises around 12-13 events which range from literary and debating events, to quizzing events and other small fun but informative events like Just A Minute and Dumb C.

The English Literary and Debating Club has a total of around 35 members across all 4 years. The members are abundantly skilled and competently equipped in the domains the Club operates, and go through a long and rigorous process of evaluation and scrutiny before becoming official members of the club, and are thus known to harbour a tremendous work ethic coupled with a devotion to their work and an absolute sense of belonging to the Club and its activites.
