Supervising Ph.D. scholars and M.Tech students in the areas of embedded applications,low power, digital design and disease/ stress detections using voice profiling of human beings.
Future Plans:
To continue the above mentioned academic interests and research activities .

Sponsored Research / Manpower Training Projects:
Co-Coordinator of the project, “Special Manpower Developmet Programme for VLSI Design and Related Software (SMDP-II)”. The project was sponsored and funded (95 Lacs) by department of Information Technology, Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, Govt. of India. Duration of the project was seven years (2006-2013). The focus of the project was to impart training in the area of VLSI Design and related S/W at B.Tech/ M.Tech and Ph.D level.
Chief Investigator of the project, “Special Manpower Developmet Programme for Chip to System Design (SMDP-C2SD)” w.e.f April, 2015, sponsored by DeitY/MCIT, GOI.
Coordinator of the project ,” Special Manpower Developmet Programme for VLSI Design and Related Software (SMDP-II)” w.e.f 6th May 2008. An amount of Rs, 59 Lacs was sanctioned by the Ministry for meeting the recurring expenditure of the project.
The project on, Upgradation of PCB lab: “To include PTH facility for fabrication of double sided PCB” was jointly submitted by Dr. R.K.Sharma and Dr A.K.Gupta to MHRD. Amount of Rs 5 Lacs was sanctioned by MHRD vide letter No.: F-28/1/99TSI dated 31/3/2000.
The project on, “Modernization of Advance Electronics lab-Incorporation of Applications of EDA Tools in Lab” was jointly submitted by Dr. R.K.Sharma and Dr A.K.Gupta (Professor ECED, NIT Kurukshetra) to MHRD. Amount of Rs 5 Lacs was sanctioned by MHRD vide letter No.: dated 28/3/2001.
