  1. Microbus is a student society of Electronics & Communication Engineering Department at NIT Kurukshetra. The society offers indispensible guidance, workshops and tutorials along with tools, equipments, components and workspace. This society organize a multitude of competitions and special lectures all-round the year and work to encourage and mentor innovative student-led projects.
  2. Recently, Analog Maker Competition was held, in association with Texas Instruments in which over 200 students participated from different streams of engineering. The Microbus Society presented MUN (Model United Nation) at National Institute of Technology, Kurukshetra in collaboration with United Nations Information Centre (UNIC). Model United Nation is an academic simulation of the UN that aims to educate participants about current events, topics in international relations and diplomacy and United Nation agenda.

NIT Kurukshetra is one of the premier technical institutes of the country. Founded in 1963 as Regional Engineering College Kurukshetra, the institute was rechristened as National Institute of Technology on June 26, 2002.
