The Anti Ragging Committee ensures compliance with the provisions of UGC Regulations 2009 as well as the provisions of any law for the time being in force concerning ragging and also monitors and oversees the performance of the Anti-Ragging Squad in the prevention of ragging in the Institute. ( Under Clause 6.3 (b) of UGC Regulations 2009).

It will also take appropriate decisions in regard to punishment on the recommendation of the Anti-Ragging Squad (ARS) under Clause 9.1 of UGC Regulations 2009.

The Anti Ragging Squad will monitor and will have to make surprise visits at vulnerable places and perform the duty under Clause 6.3 (d) & (e) of UGC Regulations 2009. It will also investigate any incident of ragging and will recommend the punishments to the Anti-Ragging Committee for suitable action under Clause 9.1 of UGC Regulations 2009.
