ESTATE SECTION
The Estate Section is involved for the construction of new buildings and other infrastructure facilities, as well as the maintenance of civil, public health, water supply & sewerage (STP), horticulture & landscaping, sanitation & cleanliness and electrical maintenance works. It also maintains records related to the allotment of houses, furniture, and lease of land, shops, and canteens, in addition to managing all types of inventories. The estate section also looks after the allotment of shops and supervising their functioning also. The section is headed by the Dean (Estate), who is assisted by Associate Dean (E&C), Faculty In-charges (Estate Construction and Infrastructure Development), Faculty In-Charge (Electrical Maintenance & Telephone), Faculty In-Charge (Horticulture & Landscaping) and Faculty In-Charge (Sanitation & Cleanliness).
The office work of the Estate Section is supervised by the Assistant Engineer (Civil) SG-I. The engineering/technical operations are headed by the Assistant Engineer (Civil) SG-I, along with the Assistant Engineer (Civil) and Assistant Engineer (Electrical). The estate office is supported by Superintendent, Assistant SG-I, Senior Assistant, Junior Assistant, and Attendant (Estate-Store). Budgetary requirements for various maintenance works are met through the non-plan grant, whereas funding for new construction works is sourced from the annual plan grant.
