Reuniting After 25 Years: NIT Kurukshetra Hosts Silver Jubilee of the 2000–04 Batch.

The Alumni Cell of NIT Kurukshetra added another memorable chapter to its alumni engagement initiatives by successfully organizing the Silver Jubilee Celebrations of the 2000–04 batch on December 20 and 21, 2025. Marking 25 years since their journey began as students of the institute, the event witnessed an enthusiastic participation of over 130 alumni who returned to their alma mater to reconnect with their roots and relive the cherished memories of their formative years.

The reunion commenced with a warm welcome and registration programme held at Hotel Veta & Riyasat, setting the tone for two days of camaraderie and celebration. The evening programme featured a visit to Anubhav Kendra, Jyotisar, which added a reflective and experiential dimension to the reunion by connecting alumni with the region’s rich cultural and spiritual heritage.

This was followed by a gala dinner at Hotel Riyasat, which emerged as the emotional highlight of the day. The evening provided an opportunity for batchmates to reconnect, exchange fond memories, and rekindle friendships formed decades ago. During a gathering of the alumni batch at the Senate Hall, the Alumni Cell team members were felicitated by the batch in recognition of their consistent efforts in strengthening alumni engagement and sustaining a vibrant and active alumni network.

The Silver Jubilee Reunion of the 2000–04 batch was characterized by informal interactions and meaningful conversations, as alumni reflected on their personal and professional journeys since graduation. The celebrations concluded on a warm and uplifting note, reinforcing lifelong bonds and reaffirming the alumni’s enduring connection with NIT Kurukshetra.

NIT Kurukshetra had the honour of welcoming its esteemed alumni from the 1975–80 batch, who revisited their alma mater from 28th to 30th November 2025, turning the campus into a space filled with nostalgia, joy, and meaningful connections. The reunion was a heartwarming celebration of cherished memories, lifelong friendships, and the enduring spirit of NIT Kurukshetra.

The visit included a nostalgic campus tour, interactive and engaging sessions, and warm interactions with faculty members, staff, and students. These exchanges provided a valuable platform for sharing experiences, reflecting on the Institute’s journey over the decades, and inspiring the current generation with stories of perseverance, excellence, and professional growth.

NIT Kurukshetra proudly witnessed a memorable homecoming as the Silver Jubilee Passing Out Batch of 1996–2000 returned to their alma mater to celebrate 25 years of their graduation, marking a significant milestone in their academic and professional journey. The reunion was a heartfelt celebration of nostalgia, camaraderie, and the enduring bond between the alumni and the Institute.

The campus resonated with memories as the alumni participated in a nostalgic campus tour, interactive sessions, and warm interactions with faculty members, staff, and students. These engagements offered a meaningful platform for sharing experiences, reflecting on the Institute’s evolution over the years, and inspiring the younger generation with their life and career journeys.

Adding to the significance of the reunion, the entire batch joined the First Global Annual Alumni Day Celebration held on 20th December 2025, a historic event for NIT Kurukshetra that brought together alumni from across the globe. The Silver Jubilee batch actively participated in the celebrations, making the occasion even more special and memorable.

NIT Kurukshetra Hosts First Annual Global Alumni Day Celebration

The National Institute of Technology (NIT) Kurukshetra marked a historic milestone in its 62-year journey by successfully organizing its First Global Alumni Day (Alumni Sponsored) on December 20, 2025. The landmark event brought together distinguished alumni from across the globe, senior administrators, faculty members, students, and staff to celebrate the shared legacy of the Institute and to further strengthen alumni engagement and industry–academia collaboration.

The programme commenced with registration and a traditional Tilak ceremony, followed by the distribution of registration kits, refreshments, and informal networking among participants. The Inaugural Session began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, accompanied by Saraswati Vandana and Vande Mataram, setting a dignified and auspicious tone for the celebrations.

Prof. Pratibha Aggarwal, Dean (Student Welfare) and Professor-in-Charge (Alumni Cell), delivered the welcome address, describing the occasion as a true “homecoming” for the alumni. She highlighted the presence of over 300 alumni on campus, along with thousands joining virtually, reflecting the strong and growing global alumni connect. Prof. Aggarwal outlined the significant initiatives undertaken by the Alumni Cell to bridge the gap between past and present students. These included the Wednesday Colloquium, a flagship initiative where distinguished alumni interact weekly with current students to share industry insights and career guidance; the launch of a dedicated Alumni–Student Digital Portal connecting the 40,000+ alumni network with over 6,250 current students; regular publications such as the Alumni Newsletter and the monthly e-magazine Horizon; and the establishment of the Alumni Endowment Board.

A teaser showcasing a virtual tour of the NIT Kurukshetra campus was presented, followed by the felicitation of sponsors and debut donors by the Hon’ble Director and the Dean (Student Welfare). A key highlight of the session was the formal launch of the Alumni Cell website by the Hon’ble Director.

Addressing the gathering, Professor B. V. Ramana Reddy, Director, NIT Kurukshetra, lauded the Alumni Cell for conceptualizing and executing the First Global Alumni Day. He emphasized that “our alumni are not merely former students but lifelong stakeholders and ambassadors of NIT Kurukshetra.” He acknowledged the remarkable contributions of alumni across technology, management, governance, and entrepreneurship. Prof. Reddy highlighted the Institute’s alignment with NEP 2020, focusing on value-based education and skill enhancement, and encouraged alumni to contribute to the ‘Viksit Bharat’ vision through student mentoring, internships, and the establishment of Centres of Excellence. He also shared key institutional developments, including curriculum reforms aligned with industrial needs, the creation of a Thought Lab, the launch of five new academic departments, and various alumni-sponsored student welfare schemes, which play a vital role in supporting students’ academic and personal growth.

The event witnessed the participation of several eminent alumni and senior government officials, including Sh. Vijay Kumar Gupta, Sh. V. M. Bansal (IAS), Dr. Ankur Gupta (IAS), Sh. Amarnath (IAS), Sh. Ishwar Singh (ADGP, Punjab), Dr. K. N. S. Kang, Sh. Harinder Salwan (Director, Tricom Multimedia Pvt. Ltd.), Ms. Vandana Seth (Co-founder, RV Solutions), Sh. Kalyanjit Hatibaruah (Managing Director, Flugelsoft Group), Sh. Sharad Singhal (DIG), Sh. Vijay Mohan Jain (IAS), Sh. Arun Gupta (IAS), Mr. Nilesh Goswami, Dr. Roger Kumar (Founder, CASE Group), Dr. Pradeep Mallah, Er. Vijender Choudhary (GM, DMRC), Mr. Nitin Puri (Founder, KisaanSay), and many other distinguished alumni who have excelled across diverse domains.

Cultural vibrancy was added to the celebrations through musical and dance performances by students, which were highly appreciated by the audience. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Prof. Dixit Garg, Associate Dean (Alumni Affairs and Student Clubs), followed by interactive networking sessions where alumni from the 1960s to the 2020s batches exchanged memories, experiences, and explored future collaborations.

Senior faculty members, including Prof. Yogesh Agarwal, Prof. Shelly Vadhera, Prof. Y. Dwivedi, Prof. Anshu Parashar, Prof. Pankaj Munjal, Prof. Amandeep Kaur, and Prof. Ravi Pratap Singh, also graced the occasion.

The Global Alumni Day witnessed overwhelming participation, with more than 300 alumni attending in person, many accompanied by their families, resulting in an on-campus gathering of over 500 participants. Additionally, 1,000+ alumni joined virtually, and the live stream garnered 1,200+ views. The Alumni Cell has also successfully registered over 8,000 alumni, underscoring the steadily growing and actively engaged alumni community of NIT Kurukshetra.

The First Global Alumni Day thus emerged as a landmark celebration, reinforcing the enduring bond between the Institute and its alumni while setting a strong foundation for future collaborative growth and global engagement.

Report on Alumni meet of batch 1995-1999 during December 21-22, 2024.

राष्ट्रीय प्रौद्योगिकी संस्थान कुरुक्षेत्र मे द्विदिवसीय पूर्वछात्र समागम कार्यक्रम (बैच 1995-1999 ) का समापन

एलुमनी सेल, राष्ट्रीय प्रौद्योगिकी संस्थान कुरुक्षेत्र के तत्वावधान में संस्थान के पूर्वछात्रों (1995-99 बैच) का 25वां पुनर्मिलन कार्यक्रम जुबली हॉल भव्य रूप मे आयोजित किया गया। दो दिनों तक चलने वाले इस कार्यक्रम की शुरुआत 21/12/2024 को पूर्वछात्रों के औपचारिक परिचय के साथ हुई। इसके उपरांत संस्थान भ्रमण एवं कुरुक्षेत्र भ्रमण कार्यक्रम आयोजित किये गए। गत शनिवार को औपचारिक कार्यक्रम की शुरुआत रजिस्ट्रेशन और स्वागत चाय से हुई। पूर्वछात्रों द्वारा संस्थान के जुबली हॉल मे एक विशेष कार्यक्रम आयोजित किया गया जिसमें निदेशक प्रो. बी. वी. रमना रेड्डी, पूर्व निदेशक प्रो कृष्ण गोपाल, छात्र कल्याण संकायाध्यक्ष डॉ. दीक्षित गर्ग, एवं अन्य गणमान्य अतिथियों उपस्थित थे। एलुमनी सेल की प्रभारी डॉ. प्रतिभा अग्रवाल ने पूर्वछात्रों को संबोधित किया और एलुमनी सेल की गतिविधियों के बारे मे विस्तार से बताया। छात्र कल्याण संकायाध्यक्ष डॉ. दीक्षित गर्ग ने सभा को सम्बोधित करते हुए पूर्वछात्रों से सम्बंधित कई कार्यक्रमों जैसे नए पूर्वछात्र कार्ड, पूर्वछात्रों से जुडी जानकारियों के रख-रखाव और सुगम संवाद के बारे मे विस्तार से बताया। संस्थान के पूर्व निदेशक प्रो कृष्ण गोपाल जी ने आपने उद्बोधन मे छात्रों से संस्थान मे सक्रीय भागीदारी के लिए प्रेरित किया एवं अपने कई संस्मरण भी साझा किये । संस्थान के निदेशक प्रो. बी. वी. रमना रेड्डी ने पूर्व छात्रों को प्रेरणादायक संबोधन दिया। उन्होंने संस्थान की उपलब्धियों और छात्रों की अद्वितीय प्रगति पर प्रकाश डाला। उन्होंने को बताया कि 15 स्नातक कार्यक्रमों में से 8 नए कार्यक्रम, हाल के वर्षों में ही शुरू किए गए हैं। उन्होंने संकाय भर्ती और पदोन्नति, एनईपी-2020 के अनुरूप पाठ्यक्रम संशोधन, शैक्षणिक सहयोग, ‘थॉट लैब’ की स्थापना आदि के बारे में विस्तार से जानकारी दी। इसके अलावा पुरानी इमारतों, छात्रावासों और आवासीय आवास को ध्यान में रखते हुए, दृश्य और श्रव्य सामग्री को बढ़ाने के लिए पर्यावरण-अनुकूल, नेट-शून्य हरित भवन, अंतर्राष्ट्रीय स्तर के छात्रावास, हाइब्रिड कक्षा परिसर और मल्टीमीडिया लैब विकसित करने की योजना पर काम चल रहा है। उन्होंने कहा की संस्थान के पूर्व छात्रों में संस्थान के प्रति अपने लगाव की गहरी भावना है और वे विशेष रूप से संस्थान और राष्ट्र के विकास में महत्वपूर्ण हितधारक हो सकते हैं। सभा को कंप्यूटर विभाग के प्रो जे  के छाबरा जी ने भी सम्बोधित किया। पूर्व छात्र एवं प्रसिद्ध वक्ता श्री नीलेश गोश्वामी द्वारा ‘तनाव मुक्त जीवन शैली’ विषय पर प्रेरक उद्बोधन भी प्रस्तुत किया गया।  उन्होंने कहा की श्वाश लेने की क्रिया को यदि सही ढंग से किया जाए तो इससे दिमाग और शरीर को जबरदस्त फायदे होते हैं। पूर्व छात्रों श्री प्रवीण माहेश्वरी एवं शालिनी माहेश्वरी ने कविता पाठ भी किया।  बैच के सदस्य श्री अंकुर जैन जी द्वारा हॉस्टल मे छात्रों के लिए थालियां भेंट की गई। कार्यक्रम के आयोजन मे श्री हेमन्त अनेजा, श्री विनय जैन, श्री चंद्र प्रकाश गुलाटी, श्री विकास अरोड़ा, श्री प्रिंस शर्मा, श्री नीलेश गोस्वामी, श्री कमल , कुमार, श्री अंकुर जैन, श्री विकास गुप्ता, श्री कानन गुप्ता, श्री मनु गुप्ता, श्री कुणाल चौधरी, श्री विकास गुगनानी, श्री विनोद चौहान इत्यादि पूर्व छात्रों ने विशेष योगदान दिया।  बैच के सदस्यों द्वारा सभी गणमान्य अतिथियों, विभागाध्यक्षों और स्टाफ का सम्मान किया गया और उन्हें स्मृति चिह्न भेंट किए गए। कार्यक्रम के दौरान एलुमनी सेल के शैली वढेरा, योगेश अग्रवाल, यशश्चंद्र  द्विवेदी, अंशुल पराशर इत्यादि संस्थान के वरिष्ठ अध्यापकगण, कर्मचारीगण उपस्थित थे।

राष्ट्रीय प्रौद्योगिकी संस्थान कुरुक्षेत्र मे द्विदिवसीय पूर्वछात्र समागम कार्यक्रम का समापन

एलुमनी सेल, राष्ट्रीय प्रौद्योगिकी संस्थान कुरुक्षेत्र के तत्वावधान में संस्थान के पूर्वछात्रों (1990-94 बैच) का 30वां पुनर्मिलन कार्यक्रम सीनेट हॉल भव्य रूप से आयोजित किया गया। दो दिन तक चलने वाले इस कार्यक्रम की शुरुआत ०७/१२/२०२४ को पूर्वछात्रों के औपचारिक परिचय के साथ हुई। इसके उपरांत संस्थान भ्रमण एवं कुरुक्षेत्र भ्रमण कार्यक्रम आयोजित किये गए। गत रविवार को सिनेट हॉल मे औपचारिक कार्यक्रम की शुरुआत सुबह 9:30 बजे रजिस्ट्रेशन और स्वागत चाय से हुई। पूर्वछात्रों द्वारा संस्थान के निदेशक प्रो. बी. वी. रमना रेड्डी, छात्र कल्याण संकायाध्यक्ष डॉ. दीक्षित गर्ग, और अन्य गणमान्य अतिथियों का स्वागत किया गया। एलुमनी सेल की प्रभारी डॉ. प्रतिभा अग्रवाल ने पूर्व छात्रों को संबोधित किया और एलुमनी सेल की गतिविधियों के बारे मे विस्तार से बताया। इस दौरान TEDx स्पीकर सत्र का आयोजन हुआ, जिसमें प्रख्यात कवि श्री विनीत कुमार कमल नैन ‘पंछी’
