It is a privilege and honour for me to assume the position of Director (Officiating) of NIT Kurukshetra on 24^th April 2026.

NIT Kurukshetra carries a rich legacy spanning over more than six decades of producing highly competent and skilled graduates across all major domains of Engineering and Technology. The Institute remains committed to the holistic development of individuals through excellence in teaching and impactful research. The curriculum of academic programs is aligned with NEP-2020 emphasizing on fostering 21^st century skills and industrial internships relevant to the demands of the Industry 4.0 and beyond. The Institute also places strong emphasis on nurturing entrepreneurship and startup culture into the curriculum.

Our vision emphasizes on creating innovative research ecosystem. It includes creating special multidisciplinary research groups and developing advanced research facilities in the frontier areas of critical technologies. These include Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Energy and Sustainability Studies, Smart Materials and Semiconductors, Communication Technologies and Digital Transformation, Quantum Computing, Space Technologies and Applications.

At this crucial juncture, I call upon all stakeholders—faculty, students, staff, alumni, employers and industry partners—to come together with a shared vision and put in concerted efforts to achieve the glory and recognition our Institute rightfully deserves at both national and international levels.

I encourage the students to actively engage, along with academics, in innovative research, co-curricular, extracurricular activities and well-being programs to realise their full potential. We are dedicated and committed to creating a supportive environment that promotes holistic development of our students.
