Experience :
Prof. Ashavani Kumar has about 28 years of teaching and research experience in high energy physics and about 8 years in nanoscience & Technology. Dr. Kumar works at various positions in National Institute of Technology, Kurukshetra (Institution of National Importance), Sant Longowal Institute of Engg. & Tech., (SLIET; a Central Govt. Institute), Longowal, & INFN Sezione de Bologna, University of Bologna, Abdus Salam International Centre for Theoretical Physics, Trieste, Italy etc. Dr. Kumar guided 05 Ph.D. and 07 more are currently doing for their Ph.D. degree.
Dr. Kumar guided 40 M.Tech. students for their degree in Master of Technology in Instrumentation, Nanotechnology and Materials Science and Nanotechnology. Moreover, Dr. Kumar is having research collaborations with SASE, DRDO, Chandigarh and CSIO & NPL CSIR laboratories in India and also with INFN, University of Bologna, Italy.
Dr. Kumar is having various administrative experiences like Head of Physics Department, Chief Warden Senior Boys Hostels, Prof. Incharge Security, Prof. Incharge Student’s welfare, Prof. Incharge Sanitation and Cleanliness of the campus, warden for various hostels and many more.
Presently, Dr. Kumar is working as Head of a School of Material science and Technology, National Institute of Technology, Kurukshetra.
Prof. Kumar organized 4 national conferences and remains member of organizational team for more that 10 national and international conferences.
