Dr. Imtiaz Noor Bhatti has been an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics at NIT Kurukshetra since August 2025. His research focuses on unrevealing the magnetic and electronic properties of quantum materials and their heterostructures, with particular interest in emergent phenomena arising from strong correlations and interactions. His academic profile is strengthened by several years of postdoctoral experience in renowned laboratories and a Ph.D. from Jawaharlal Nehru University.

Research Interest: Experimental Condensed Matter Physics (quantum materials, thin films, nano-magnetism and spintronics)

Quantum Materials & Emergent Phases -Exploring exotic states in iridates, manganites, cobaltates, and garnets driven by strong correlations and spin-orbit coupling.

Nano-Magnetism for Devices -Exploring thin films and nanostructures as building blocks for next-generation spintronic and quantum technologies.
